Flights:

Thailand is a great destination for a small family of 2-3 people, since flight prices can get expensive. One economy-class ticket costs at least 2,000 lei, and the flight duration from Bucharest to Phuket is around 11 hours, with two stops.

What to do:

  • Snorkel along the coast. Phuket’s white sand beaches and clear waters are perfect for observing tropical coral and fish.
  • Hike up the Nakkerd Hills. You will see a giant, 45-meter tall Buddha sitting at the top. Since there are no restaurants or cafes, you need to pack your own snacks.
  • Visit one of the Thai night markets. If you’re an experimental eater, you should try their traditional Thai food and unconventional snacks.
  • Stay in one of Phuket’s famous resorts, many of which offer private beaches or multiple pools. Visit this website to check out some of the island’s best.
