We’re not sure if you’ve noticed, but sneakers are kind of a big deal at this school. For some, sneakers mean being fashionable. For others, it’s all about showing off how much money they have.
Regardless of whether you’re a certified “Sneaker Head” or absolutely detest trainer talk, here are the top four trendiest shoes right now, along with everything you need to know about price and resale value.
Balenciaga Triple S Sneaker Collection
The Balenciaga Triple S sneakers have been a huge hit since they were first released; and it doesn’t seem like they’re gonna stop being a ‘hypebeast must have’ any time soon. Balenciaga has been releasing 3-4 new colorways (models of the shoe in different colors) every season, each time getting crazier with the colors and combinations, which is what keeps these shoes so hyped up and trendy.
Some key features: shoe size embroidered at the toe, embroidered logo on the side, embossed logo on the heel, rubber Triple S branding on the tongue, bicolor laces, tongue and heel pull tabs, washed/worn effect.
Retail Price: $600-$800
Resale Price: $900-$1500
Designer: Demna Gvasalia
Colorways: Over 20
Original Release Date: September 2017; Latest Release Date: 2019
Versace Chain Reaction Sneaker Collection
Versace released these sneakers after their FW18 show, but they only really caught on around a month ago, and now everyone wants a pair. When the new crazy colors and designs started coming out one after the other, it created waves in the sneaker society and everyone started paying attention.
Some key features: leather and mesh upper, chain link outsole, Greca lace cage, reflective detail.
Retail Price: $1000
Resale Price: $1000 (same price because the shoes have a large stock, aren’t too hyped up, and are already expensive, if they were more expensive no one would buy them!)

Off-White X Nike Sneakers Collection
American fashion designer Virgil Abloh and Nike’s “The Ten” collaboration was the biggest sneaker event of 2017, with Abloh being voted “the most influential person of the year” by many big sneaker websites and magazines. Additionally, his Nike Air Jordan 1 “Chicago” design was elected “the best sneaker of 2017.”
The OFF-WHITE “The Ten” project included sneakers from Nike as well as Nike-owned brands Converse and Jordan. The first releases were split into two packs of five. The “REVEALING” pack contained the OFF-WHITE Nike Air Jordan 1, Air Max 90, Air Presto, Air VaporMax, and Blazer Mid. The “GHOSTING” pack included an OFF-WHITE Nike Air Max 97, React Hyperdunk, Air Force 1, Zoom Vaporfly, and Converse Chuck Taylor All Star. The collaboration became so influential, that Nike and Abloh also released a 258-page book documenting Abloh’s design process and revealing key facts about each of the shoes in the collaboration.

Yeezy 2019 Sneaker Collection
Yeezys are probably the hardest shoes to find for retail price. With new models, colors, and features coming every few months, Kanye West has managed to keep his shoe brand not only relevant but extremely hyped up for almost four years. This unfortunately means that if you want any chance at getting Yeezys retail, you have to wait hours in front of a store and physically fight your way to the shoes, get a bot, and pray you’ll be able to cop them in the first seconds online, or buy raffle tickets and hope you win.
Retail Price: $200-$300
Resale Price: $800-$2000
Designer: Kanye West
Colorways: Geode, Inertia, Analog, Salt, Clay, Hyperspace, and more coming soon.
