Grade 7 student Horea B. is a jack of all trades. From go-karting, finishing a 3 km run for Track and Field, golfing, and just balancing 7th grade life: Horea can do it all!
What follows is Horea’s story, in his own words:
I’ve been at AISB for about six years now, and seventh grade is going pretty good. A few minor hiccups here and there, but pretty well for the first semester. Usually, it’s just remembering what classes I have. Like today [February 14th], I thought I had Math, but I actually had Humanities, and after this I have Math. It’s kind of hard remembering that. You know how those sixth graders have those bulletin boards, that have their classes on them? Maybe we should add them for seventh and eight graders as well, with a dedicated spot for them. As for favorite classes so far, I would say Humanities with Mr. DeMichele, maybe P.E.; I don’t have any quite favorites, but all classes are pretty fun. For my favorite sports in P.E., well, running, first of all, [because ] I was in track and field. I also like football, playing as a defender, and karting, but that’s not quite in P.E., and these tiny little games we do in P.E., like ultimate Frisbee, I think it’s called.
I think for what I want to do, I have a few possibilities: maybe a lawyer or something in regards of science, ’cause I do well in Science. I want to work in Science because I know a lot about it, and it is easier for me to understand what other people are saying when I am learning, and I show the most potential in it. One kind of Science [I like] is Astrophysics, and if I had to choose I would be an astrophysicist because of my love of space.
