Experiential Week happens in September, when each grade level in Secondary goes on a trip to somewhere in Romania to bond with the rest of their grade level. (Though grade level trips has only been true in the past few years; prior to this, Experiential Week was organized differently, and focused on student choice and voice for grades 7-10.) Here, grade 10 student Mihai P. shares his favorite moments from his Experiential Week trip to Brașov, as well as his favorite show he’s been watching on Netflix.

What follows is Mihai’s story, in his own words:

“So, we got there [to Brasov, and] we went to a water park, had some fun, then we went to our room, slept. And [the next day] we went to a bear sanctuary. Then we went to a leisure center and played bowling there. And then after that, we went back to our hotels, had some downtime, and dinner. Then we went to bed. [The next day] we went to a ropes course, like one group. And then the other group went to explore Brasov. Then we swapped after lunch. What was my favorite moment from Experiential Week? Probably the zipline, like the rope going across a lake.

[When asked about his favorite shows or movies]: Well, there’s this one movie, 21. I watched it a little bit back. It’s like a movie. It was on Netflix about these genius students in math. They just went to casinos and just counted cards on  blackjack.
