Bucharest is quickly becoming a town for foodies. In fact, it seems like every week a new restaurant is popping up. So, how do you pick? Well, if you’re like me, you’ll probably only want to pick between two: Argentine and Osho—my two favorite restaurants in the city. Here’s why:
Argentine Steak & Sushi
Argentine was opened in 2010, and remains open between 13:00 to 24:00 every day of the week. Argentine was originally a steak house, but recently they decided to add sushi to their menu. While they mainly serve sushi and steak, they also serve delicious, special dishes such as tuna tartar (65 RON), miso soup (20 RON) and seaweed salad (25 RON).
The unique location of this restaurant allows you to enjoy a beautiful lake view in the city’s famous Herastrau Park. “It’s very good quality meat and the restaurant is very modern and has a calm vibe,” says regular Naomi S (Grade 9). “It’s a wonderful place where you could go with your family.”

This exclusive steak house serves any kind of steak possible, from the basic 100 RON “New York Steak” to the 350 Ron “Wagyu.” There are also delicious lamb chops on offer for 80 RON and 45 RON BBQ ribs. Osho opened in 2014 and is open every day of the week from 10:30 until 23:00. After 23:00 the kitchen closes, but that doesn’t stop diners from enjoying their steak and fine wine.
“Osho is a special restaurant,” says Osho Executive Chef, Iosif Stefanescu . “We use the finest meat on the market, and we’re located in an exclusive zone near Herastrau. Osho is a very modern restaurant, redesigning every year to benefit the customers’ needs.”
