In celebration of Earth Day, the News Broadcasting Team reached out to a variety of AISB teachers and students to see how they’re making positive environmental changes in their classrooms and communities.
In this video, MYP Science Teacher Luke Scholtes shows us his 8th grade plant experiments and explains the importance of growing our own fruits and vegetables. AISB Community Garden Group Co-Leader Sean Whitney talks about the school’s new gardening initiatives and gives us a tour of his personal greenhouse. And finally, the Eco Council student leaders tell us what we can expect from AISB’s Earth Week.

Thanks to the Eco Council, Roots and Shoots, Outdoor Ed, AISB Community Garden Group, CCA Department and the Social Justice Group for organizing Earth Week! Make sure to check out their website, and check our Instagram for an informative Earth Day post.
